Of Wisdom and Tea....

Hello people!

Been hectic lah. Tak sempat nak update blog betul-betul. Macam-macam mau tulis, tapi masa yang mencemburui kita, so tak tertulislah akhirnya.

Just a short stop by here to share this beautiful video by Dawud Wharnsby Ali titled Wisdom and Tea. It is about a one sided conversation of a man with his dying mother. It brought tears to my ears, listening to this. Kalau ngkorang tak tersentuh dengan video nih, memang hati kering lah!

Dawud (David) Wharnsby Ali (born June 27, 1972) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, poet, performer, educator and television personality. He is best known for his pioneering efforts in the musical/poetic genre of English Language nasheed. Dawud Wharnsby is also lyricist, vocalist and guitarist of the folk music duo Dawud & Idris, alongside composer Idris Phillips.

As a social activist, Dawud Wharnsby Ali also lectures internationally at community events and universities, speaking on topics related to social justice, disability awareness, music, spirituality or Qur'anic philosophy, tradition and ideology.

I also like his rendition of The Veil. He sings about the challenges a Moslem woman faces donning the hijab. You can check it out here.

So, this should be my last post for this month! Hope to update more regularly next month. Have a great weekend (early wish, I know)! Take care......

Hi Versed Anggerik....funny I've not heard about him. But I guess my fault as I stopped reading the papers since retiring. And only watch TV bila ada good movies.
But from what you mentioned, he is good.
Will check it out.

You have a nice day.
Best regards.
Lee.
