and it seems like I'm always losing....
Datelines for court applications, written submissions, letters etc got to met. On top of that I have other kinds of commitments to MNS Pahang and a few of our annual supporters (yes Cargill, I still owe you people the tax exemption letter!) Been organising one projects after another, in a short time span. Letih wooooi! Dateline to move in to our house in Taman Guru is by Hari Raya. That too, is putting a lot of pressure on me and Koka as it involves me giving up all my weekend activities to help out at re-doing the house. Been nearly three months now that I have gave up climbing mountains, trekking and frolicking in the sun with the girls, coz of the weekend projects being done at the house.
I do admit that I am somewhat a procrastinator at times. They say procrastinators are people who waste time. Well I won't waste my time defending procrastinators, even I am one. It does seems that my procrastination is one of the reasons why I am always harried by datelines.
my time management chart will look something like this....
I know, wasting time is somewhat a sin. And the Quran tells us explicitly in the Sural al-Asr that swears by the time, verily men are always at loss. Well, the thing is, when you are hard up for an extra time, only will you realise that you have actually squandered some precious time some time ago. At least, that is the case for me....
verily, I am among those who are at loss....
forgive me Allah
It also doesn't help that I sometimes take on more than I can chew and end up lacking of time to do all that I undertake to do. These past few months has seen that. Aside from my 9-5 job, my involvement in the Save Malaysia community project, I've also became project coordinator for two MNS programmes, namely Tree Planting with Cargill and just recently A Billion Acts of Green with BASF-Petronas. These two projects ate up a big chunk of my time too.
There is this phrase that we lawyers use quite often, its "buying time". Basically its when your client does not have a defence to a civil suit, but just needs some time to look for the dough to pay off the plaintiff, then he appoints you to buy him some time. It is usually done by filing in a defence at the very last minute and all sorts of stalling tactics like filing in an application to strike out their pleadings because their font size is less than 12 points, an application for full and further details of the debt when you know very well your clients are soooo aware of them details. It is unethical to a certain extend, but you still do it because you wanna 'buy time' for your clients.
putting time in your shopping cart? Where is the cashier, I wonder?
I know I need to brush up on my time management. "Prioritise, prioritise," I keep murmuring to myself everytime I'm in a jam with time. Need a plan on how to manage my time. Need I enrol in a course? I bet I will be the only 40 year old there amongst newly graduates.... haisshhhhh! Its like trying to schedule a time management seminar into my calendar if only I can find the time to go buy a calendar first.
time management looks complex here, to me
I live a very unstructured life....
I thought of finding some time to to everything, till I come across this...
apparently, I have to make time.....
Okay, okay, I'm technically out of time here. There's tons more to do, and what do I do? I blog! Sheeeshhhh....
running out of time, or jogging out of time?
I've scheduled two articles on law and environment to read before my bedtime. That should be a good use time don't you think so? Only if I have the time to think lah, kannnnn? While I slave away at reading materials I would rather not read, I wish all of you a good time with your time.
not this kind, though....
Ciaooooo....

The last pic is hilarious! Your time management chart is, too. Somehow I never thought of you as a procrastinator. I always thought you were very efficient and organised and all that. And I still do think that!
P/S: I bought you 2 packs of the camouflage band-aids! Tell me when we can meet up so I can hand them to you!
Ayah Wan, I am! I am, trying so hard to make time for everything...
CiS,
I wish I could. But I'm a bit of a control freak too!
Mamaboyz,
Thank you for stopping by dear. My mum has got lots of advice for me. Me, a bit on the stubborn side when it comes to taking her advice...
Oldstock,
Yes, I do agree with U. But it is actually not a priority. But I go do it first...
CO'78,
I am actually a procrastinator. Especially when it comes to office work. MNS work, seldom lah, coz I enjoy it!
