Very true. But it is the transient nature of relationships with living things that makes them so very precious.
The other day I heard an ustaz said if one plants paddy.. one will get paddy as well as grass.. but if one plants grass, one only will get grass but not paddy.
He likened the one who plants paddy to one who really go for akhirat and he will get dunia as well whereas the one who really go for dunia will only get dunia but not akhirat..
Does that sound similar to your flower and weed story?;)
