Cerite Weekends.....

I guess cerite-cerite pasal gomen kita yang tak berapa nak cerdik nih agak depressing, kan? The AG's report does send some of us spiralling into panic and depression, I heard.

Buhsan lah cerite pasal depa-depa ni yang tak pernah berubah year in, year out. Tunggu je lah PRU13 nanti, kot-kot ada tsunami perubahan, kan?

So, hari ni nak cerite tentang aktiviti hujung2 minggu saya the past few months. Those of you who are friends with me on FB would be quite updated of my activities, as I do have the tendency to overshare on FB! Hehehehe.....

For those of you who are just on touch-and-go basis with me on the blogosphere, if you care to read on, here are some of my activities recently.....

we had a trail restoration recce recently.

We, MNS Pahang had been asked by Cargill (M) Sdn. Bhd. to organise a CSR programme for them in the nature. They opted for trail restoration from a few suggestions that we forwarded them. Hence we are now scheduled to do restoration to an old trail behind the Mini Zoo, in Taman Teruntum.

will re-tag the trees with new tags as many have fallen off.

New tree tags will also bear the Cargill and MNS logo on it! Thus we will be more "in the public eye", if marketing theory has got anything to do with it! Hehehe.....

fallen logs across the trail that needs to be removed. There are a few every 100 metres or so.

did a spot of tresspassing at the peak there. We climbed over the fence to climb up the light house. Notice how my daughter, Husna, is marvelling her mother's climbing skill there?

and she joined the leagues of trespassers too, only to crawl in via an opening in the fence....

view from the top of the lighthouse. Simply spectacular! You can also see one of our trekker there, a red blob amidst the green...

this is Cikgu Chin, posing with the solar panel at the top of the light house. A fine example you are Cikgu, to your students, trespassing along with us on a Saturday afternoon! Muahahaha.....

Recce ended at about 6:30pm and we adjourned to KFC Teluk Chempedak to reward ourselves with cheesy wedges and lime Krushers! Yummy......

Most of my other weekends are spent doing up our house at Taman Guru. we bought an old house (built in the 1980's) and now still doing pembaikpulihan to our future abode.

my dad, my hubby and my son - the three important men in my lives, putting up a curtain rail together......

My dad is into handiwork and simply loves the opportunity to use his hands to build and fix things. It has now rubbed off on Mr. Hubby and my son Hilman, too.

Grandpa patching up nooks and crannies while kiddos looks on....

my brother Qamal, helps out too whenever he comes back from Johore...

but of course, all the high up and dangerous areas are reserved for the tuan rumah, kannnn?

the kids' project! Kolam ikan dan turtle, also the water feature for our home...

Bila dah bosan buat rumah jer, we'll take a break and go for a 'nature rejuvenation', from time to time.

the wekend we went up Panorama and down the fern trails, with Rosnah and her kiddos Lokman and Nana.

spotting colonies of pitcher plants along the way....

and wild orchids too....

the kids, ardent trekkers they are all!

ended the day with a dip in the river amidst heavy rain!

So, that is my cerite-cerite weekends. InsyaAllah in my next post, will share with you my caving exploration and whitewater rafting experience. Be patient and stick around. I will muster up the rajin-ness to blog about it! Till then, adios friends!
