New Year already?

Wahhhhhh..... its the 16th day of 2012 already! As usual, me in my siput babi mode always exclaim how fast time just fly by. Usually leaving me with many undone tasks (what else is new?)

So how did you people celebrate your new year? Countdown? Fireworks? Party? We celebrated our New Year nite at Teluk Chempedak in a cultured manner, you can say. Attended a Malam Jambak Puisi Pantai Ambang Tahun Baru that was organised by Jabatan Kebudayaan Negeri Pahang. As usual, the invitation came from Teo Wei Seng who without fail will extend invitation to us every event that he takes part in. The year before it was titled Bacaan Puisi Kerohanian di Ambang Tahun Baru. Can view the pics here and here.

There were poetry reading, singing of cultural folk songs (lagu-lagu rakyat), traditional dances, sketch and silat performances. Sorry, no pole dancing or table top dancing to suit some of you rowdy people's taste! Muahahahaha.... well at least, not in my blog!

A sketch.... dun ask me what it is about coz I dun understand. Mungkin nilai seni dia terlalu tinggi, tak tergarap dek minda cetek saya.

Next day, we went romping on the beach, collecting seashells and driftwood. You all tengok pics aje lah yer? 

I have the world's largest collection of seashells. I keep it on all the beaches of the world...  perhaps you've seen it.?

We headed east toward East and just found incredible shells, huge shells and driftwood. The idea was to kind of make some beauty, to highlight what can be new beginnings.

It is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea---whether it is to sail or to watch it---we are going back from whence we came.

So, that was our New Year celebration. Kinda low key, but okaylah for orang kampungs here in Kuantan. Will try to find time to post properly, once I have got a new chambie or an LA. But for now, this is all that I could muster!
